A new hotel group is making waves on Cape Cod
From beaches and mini-golf to boating and seafood restaurants, Dennisport has everything that makes for a classic Cape Cod summer vacation. Lazy days on the beach turn into hours of clam shack dining and glacier outings in this Midcape hub.
The newly renovated Pelham House Resort offers a new way to stay in Dennisport. Surrounded by laid-back luxury, Pelham House offers ocean views, upscale dining and coastal sophistication, right in the middle of this family-friendly seaside summer haven.
Last year, Pelham House Resort unveiled a new multi-million dollar renovation, as well as the acquisition of two new Pelham properties. The hotel offers stunning views of the sparkling Nantucket Sound, a well-maintained private beach, and 33 guest rooms. Renovations have transformed the property into an idyllic getaway, while the two new Pelham properties expand the brand’s offering by 54 rooms.
Family-owned and operated in Dennisport since 1997, Pelham House Resort has put a more upscale spin on its quaint and quiet Cape Town accommodations. The hotel now features an on-site restaurant, a pristine new outdoor pool and hot tub, a poolside bar, an oceanfront lawn, and numerous event spaces .
Each of the bedrooms has a walk-in shower, luxury bedding and a terrace with an ocean view. The property’s main building, recently constructed by Dennis J. Swart Architecture, houses two floors of dining and bar: the Sea Level Room and Patio and the Rooftop Restaurant. The panoramic rooftop view of Nantucket Sound is hard to beat, even on Cape Cod, and pairs perfectly with a mimosa brunch (or two). In the evening, the Sea Level Patio invites guests to relax with dinner or cocktails by a year-round fire pit.
There isn’t too much real estate on the densely populated midcap. Pelham’s two new properties, Pelham on Main in West Dennis and Pelham on Earle in West Harwich, are both within a five-minute drive of the Dennisport property, and each adds 27 new rooms to Pelham’s portfolio. Pelham on Main has taken over the former Inn at Swan River space, and Pelham on Earle is in the former Commodore Inn.
Pelham on Earle is nestled in a cozy residential location, just two minutes walk from Earle Road beach, a hidden gem in Harwich. An outdoor pool and updated rooms with coastal-chic decor, cathedral ceilings, and a few fireplaces make for a quiet but elevated location on Earle Road, where vacations slow to a relaxing Cape Cod pace. The hotel will soon also offer a restaurant space, a bar and an event space. Lined with hydrangeas and beach pines, the property takes the charm of a laid-back Cape motel and combines it with the comforts of a newly renovated resort.
Pelham on Main offers a pool but no on-site dining and operates as a more family-friendly option and overflow property for the Pelham brand. Shuttle buses run between the three properties, so guests in Main or Earle can take advantage of the private beach, poolside bar, and dining options at bustling Pelham House.
The Pelham House Resort is also emphasizing its new wedding and event programming. They host a single on-site wedding each weekend, giving the wedding party and guests management of the property and amenities. With 8,000 square feet of potential event space, the team can customize every facet of an event, from decor to menus to room blocks. Do you dream of a barefoot ceremony facing the ocean? Outdoor dining under the stars or a campfire on the beach? Pelham can do it.
Pelham House now remains open all year round, with adapted programming. They will host events such as live music performances and offer special packages and holiday parties. True New Englanders know that the Cape is almost better off in the off season than in the summer.
Another reason to head to Cape Town this summer and beyond is hanging its hat on Dennisport.
