Imagine you’re in a hotel enjoying your morning sleep and you receive an unexpected nudge from an elephant standing right outside the window trying to wake you up. Will you be pleasantly surprised or a little taken aback? Well, content creator Sakshi Jain was on vacation in Thailand and she had settled into a resort in Chiang Mai. No reception call or alarm, she was awakened by the elephant’s trumpet. How wonderful, isn’t it?
Sakshi who was sleeping soundly was a bit shocked to see the trunk of the elephant right outside her bedroom window. The video was posted on Instagram last week and has over 51 million views.
“This resort in Chiang Mai, Thailand has elephants that wake you up instead of reception calling or your alarms. Even better that you can walk, feed, bathe and play with them up close. This experience was something different. So the next time you plan Thailand, don’t forget to include the city of Chiangmai in your trip which is surrounded by mountains, rivers and elephants,” reads the video caption.
