CLO hails Governor Soludo for hotel closure – The Eagle Online
The Civil Liberties Organization has praised Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State for his swift action in closing the Winters Garden Hotel following an alleged viral video sex party held at the hotel.
This was contained in a statement by CLO State Chairman Vincent Ezekwueme in Onitsha on Saturday.
The CLO applauded and praised Soludo for his tireless efforts to instill moral rectitude in his administration and in the state.
News Agency of Nigeria reports that Soludo has closed Winters Garden Hotels and Suites in Awka, the state capital, over an alleged viral video of a sex party that allegedly took place in a section of the hotel.
According to the statement, it is utterly despicable that such a thing happened in the university community despite the six-month-old faculty strike, which forced students to take unscheduled vacations.
He said, “It is necessary to go to the root and determine the real genuine promoters and organizers of the devil’s event; Nigerians are eager and curious about the organizers and the motive behind it.
“It is very regrettable and detestable that this loving and shameful act has created a negative image and impact on the state and its citizens.”
Ezekwueme described the act as a shameful, painful and devastating shock and effect on the youth, society and the state.
