Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando nears fall opening at Disney Springs
The Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando is preparing to create magical memories for guests at its first hotel at Walt Disney World and the fourth hotel in Drury, Florida.
An official partner hotel of Walt Disney World in the Disney Springs Resort area, The Drury is an extensive remodel and expansion of the former Best Western hotel. They gutted the original tower completely and more than doubled the number of rooms with a new tower.
“We look forward to welcoming guests and providing them with a magical experience,” said Chuck Drury, CEO of Drury Hotels. “Our designation as the Official Hotel of Walt Disney World means we have been entrusted with meeting exceptional standards of service.”

It’s always big news when a new hotel opens at Walt Disney World. We expect the Drury to offer all the modern conveniences you would expect from a conveniently located hotel.
It may not have the Disney Imagineer-level theme, but not every vacationing family wants or needs it.
Fun fact: the new Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando is adjacent to one of Walt Disney World’s first buildings, the original Preview Center.
Tom Drury, a seven-year veteran in the hotel and hospitality industry, has been named the hotel’s general manager. John Branciforte, a member of the Drury team, will serve as the hotel’s sales manager. Once open, the hotel will employ 150 full and part-time team members.
As you can see in the aerial photo taken last month, construction progress is nearing completion. In fact, reservations are now being accepted for October 27, 2022 and beyond.
When completed, the Drury will feature 604 guest rooms and 17,000 square feet of meeting and event space. Which will be a nice addition to the Disney Springs area.
What amenities will the Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando offer?
The Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando plans to offer a wide range of complimentary amenities including: hot breakfast, dinnertime snacks and beverages at the 5:30 p.m. 24-hour business and fitness center and shuttle service to all Walt Disney World themed locations. Parks and the Disney Springs area.
It was also announced that unlike other resorts in the area, the Drury Plaza Hotel will not charge resort fees. It is therefore useless to take this into account in your price comparisons.
In news that will make everyone happy on the Disney Blog, there will be Starbucks coffee served on-site in the Guest Market Square, as well as a Pizza Hut Express and two on-site restaurants.
