The Leo Hotel is a one-of-a-kind boutique hotel in Washington

There’s never a need to leave Washington State for the ultimate vacation. In fact, some of the most charming and delightful hotels are within hours, at most, of your front door. From our European-themed bed & breakfast to our haunted historic properties, you’ll find the ultimate stay here, no matter what you’re looking for.

And if what you’re looking for happens to be a boutique hotel with lots of character in the heart of one of our most beloved small towns, look no further than Hotel Leo. It’s a historic property, but the amenities are as modern as they come.

The Leo Hotel is located at 1224 Cornwall Avenue in downtown Bellingham.

The property offers a unique combination of hotel accommodations in the south wing and apartment residences in the tower.

While this hotel opened in 2019, the property itself dates back to 1889, when it was Hotel Byron.

From 1929 to 1985 it was known as Hotel Leopold, and after a long break it has been lovingly restored and refurbished.

The property is in a prime location, overlooking the town and Bellingham Bay.

Imagine how exciting it would be to call this place home.

When you stay here, you’ll want to plan for at least one comfortable night.

Borrow a book from the library, play pool, work out at the fitness center, or see what’s happening in the private theater, named after a past guest named Clark Gable (you may have heard talk about him).

Rooms are sleek and modern, with works by local artists.

You can also stay in a Historic Economy Room or a much larger Grand Room, some of which have a kitchen.

The hotel also has an on-site speakeasy called Amendment 21.

Located in the Upper Lobby, this 21+ establishment is a local hotspot.

The bar offers a small but tasty menu, local beer and wine, and plenty of craft cocktails.

It’s the perfect place to start the evening with shared snacks or end it with a nightcap (or two).

The Leo Hotel is a true hospitality centre.

This is a great place to stay for a weekend in Bellingham.

Do you prefer to stay in modern hotels or historic spaces? Fortunately, Hotel Leo is a bit of both.

Address: Hotel Leo, 1224 Cornwall Ave, Bellingham, WA 98225, USA
