Universal Works Luxury Hotel Spring/Summer 2022

British label Universal Works has unveiled the latest installment of its Hotel de Luxe concept, expanding the world of the fictional hotel. The new release focuses on laid-back summer tunes, drawing inspiration from a diverse mix of locales, including skate park culture, Lake Como luxury and the music of The Specials.
The collection incorporates some of the brand’s most beloved pieces, all of which are reinterpreted through the Hotel de Luxe lens. This includes the Bakers jacket – constructed from hand-dyed indigo denim – and the Kyoto work jacket, this time in olive corduroy or light stone. Elsewhere, items are available in a Japanese Paisley print, shirts arrive in piquet or blended jersey, and Hi Water trousers are finished in raw canvas, navy or indigo.
Launching the collection, Universal Works co-founder David Keyte said:
“Hotel De Luxe is full of gorgeous blue skies, hand-woven blue denims, blue linens, 1950s-inspired blue prints, embroidery, Amalfi Coast flowers and paint strokes. It’s a haven for that late summer beach party – a great place to pull out the perfect beach polo and beach shorts for the holidays. Everyone is welcome. All you need is an appetizer in one hand and the keys to your Vespa in the other.
The SS22 Hotel de Luxe collection is available now through the Universal Works online store.
